Begüm ERSAN ERDEM holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the Faculty of Law at Doğuş University and a Master's Degree in Private Law from Bahçeşehir University. She has completed her Master’s degree with her  thesis on the topic; "Responsibility of the shipowner in Turkish Law". With a professional background that includes service in the Administration of the Istanbul Bar Association for varying periods, Begüm Ersan Erdem is presently engages in furthering her academic pursuits in Business at Istanbul University. She specializes in several branches of law, including but not limited to; Maritime Law, Law of Obligations, Commercial Law, Labour Law, Corporate Law, Consumer Protection Law, Personal Data Protection Law, Contract Law.
